For parents
of special needs children, the special education process can be
intimidating and confusing. Parents typically do not have
the legal knowledge necessary to ensure that their school
provides an appropriate education for their child.
Often times,
the district does not offer information about the services
available to special needs children. School Districts
failure to explain the right to special education services
does not mean
that your child is only entitled to placement in a special
education class. Therefore, many parents are unaware of
the benefits that their children are entitled to and of how to
go about getting them
